If you still haven't updated you Winamp to version 5.05, then you should do so.

In an article posted on CNET, Security researchers have discovered a flaw in Winamp which allows malicious users to execute arbitrary code.
X-Chat for Windows now shareware

Due to the large amount of time and cost in creating new versions of X-Chat for Windows, it will only be available to registered users.

Non-registered users however can download a 30-day trial of the software.

AU client server comcen.nsw.au.* is now open to global traffic once again, to improve and make connecting to AustNet easier.
We would also like to announce and welcome new testlink server njit.nj.us.austnet.org (New Jersey Institute of Technology).

There have been numerous changes to the AustNet Services Department team. Congratulations to Hovy, BufFStaR and MrPrelude on being added to #ASD at level 75, Longie and Demandred on being added to ASD at level 10, Praetorian, darkness, saturn and seaner on being raised to level 200, and robby, daunted and Jeppe on being raised to level 250.

We apologise to all clients currently experiencing difficulties connecting. A couple of our main client servers are currently being upgraded and should be back up ASAP. AustNet is also currently reviewing new ways of improving our service, and we look forward to implementing these ideas in the near future as well as expanding our network internationally to ensure easy connection to all 'corners' of the globe.
New server testlinked in US (raving.*)

Today the testlink of raving.ca.us.austnet.org began. This new server is located in San Diego, California USA. To try this server, simply connect by typing /server 216.55.137.16 - This server is only recommended to international clients (not in Australia).

Over the past 24-36 hours, AustNet has been experiencing technical problems which have meant some servers are not available, and users cannot connect to others on the normal addresses.

As a part of a major restructuring process, #mIRCHELP has unveiled it new website look.
Major changes to the website include a new design, reorganised content and user friendly forums.

Over the next few weeks, there are plans to add new features to the website, such as: Articles, and Online chat.
